Applications

Engines / Drives/ Machines
The engine dust ring should be of high quality because of the many temperature changes it undergoes. In particular, for automobiles that are frequently used in city traffic. All systems that contain dust rings may start leaking, but as a result of the engine temperature, which varies from very low to very high, this occurs sooner in engines than in other oil-containing parts of an automobile. As a result of the application of LeakLock, the leakages that occur will be stopped. Expensive repair time is prevented.

The dust ring, which is attached to or onto moving parts, should not only seal but also have other qualities. For example, in a seal, in which an axle moves and turns, there obviously is no fixed connection. The space between the seal and the axle is smaller than the molecular size of the oil. In these situations, in which the production tolerances of the producer are often larger than 1 micron, the dust ring will also have to act as a seal. In the case of these applications, contact between axle and seal cannot be avoided and the process of wear and tear will slowly take place despite the lubrication provided by the oil.

Power steering
The power steering may start squeaking in an annoying way as soon as the engine is started. The squeaking is caused by an oil leak in the power steering. When this is attended to at too late a stage, the increasing contractions of the belt will cause it to break. This could have been prevented through timely application of LeakLock. A power steering system can mostly not be repaired and will therefore have to be replaced. LeakLock stops the squeaking of the power steering and prevents high repair costs.

Hydraulics
Repairs to hydraulic installations are costly in terms of both time and money. By applying LeakLock, this is prevented because the leak is prevented while the system is being used.
